Victory in Rio

Victory in Rio is a Pop / Rock n Roll band based in Athens. Formed accidentely in January 1014 after jamming in a rock bar in northern Athens named Bronco.

The first song they wrote in those jams was "Lay me down" which was the first single of their debut album "Bronco" which will include 11 songs plus one cover of the Rolling Stones' song "Anybody seen my baby".

Lay me down was released in January 2015 at the first birthday of the band and the full album in the summer of 2016! The band works with producer Mike Kapilidis, a famous Greek drummer.

The name of the band has nothing to do with the 2014 world cup in Brazil. It is taken from a line in the 1980 Walt Disney film "Herby goes bananas" with the famous Volkswagen Beatle.
